The SDD Kinder Combo and Superstar Split programs offer combination classes that encourage creativity while developing essential dance skills. Dancers build on the basics learned in our Tutu Cute program with new technique in ballet, tap, and jazz — the core subjects of dance. Classes emphasize rhythm, movement, motor skills, coordination, and musical awareness in a fun, inspiring environment.

At this age, dancers also begin training in acrobatics, similar to gymnastics. Acro helps build strength, flexibility, and confidence while introducing tumbling skills in a structured, safe classroom setting. Dance at this level encourages self‑expression, skill development, and creativity.

Classes meet once a week for 45 minutes to 1.25 hours, allowing dancers to receive individual, personalized attention from their professional adult instructor. Each class learns its own unique song, dance, and costume to perform in our year‑end recital, typically held the weekend after Memorial Day at the Palace Theatre in Lockport.

Kinder Combo  

Dancers age 5   (as of 12/1/2026, entering Kindergarten)

A fun, upbeat one‑hour class designed for kindergarten dancers! Perfect for children continuing from our Tutu Cute program or new 5‑year‑olds beginning their dance journey. Dancers creatively explore movement while learning fundamental ballet, jazz, and tap skills.

This class performs one dance in our Spring Recital held in early June at the Palace Theatre in Lockport.

Suggested additional class:  Kinder Acrobatics

Superstar Split  

Dancers age 6-7   (as of 12/1/2026, entering 1st or 2nd grade)

A fun, upbeat 1.25‑hour class for dancers who have completed Kinder Combo or for new 6–7‑year‑olds beginning their dance training. Dancers creatively explore movement while furthering their study of ballet, tap, and jazz. This level expands foundational technique, coordination, musicality, and confidence as dancers prepare for more advanced training.

This class performs two dances in our Spring Recital held in early June at the Palace Theatre in Lockport. One changeable costume is used for both dances.

Kinder or Superstar Acrobatics    

Dancers age 5-7  (as of 12/1/2026)

Acro is available to dancers ages 5 and up and blends jazz‑style movement with tumbling skill development. Class includes focused instruction in flexibility, strength, balance, and proper skill progressions similar to gymnastics floor work. Technique and safety are emphasized as dancers build confidence and body awareness.

This class is 45 minutes and performs one dance in one of our Spring Recitals held in early June at the Palace Theatre in Lockport.

Acro is recommended to be taken alongside Kinder Combo or Superstar Split or can be taken on its own as a single‑subject class.

Payment Plan:

Registration fee: $55 Individual $75

Family Tuition: (9 installment payments based on family's total class hours)

1st installment and registration fee due at time of registration. Installments 2-9 due the 1st of each month: Oct-May

Costume fee: (due Nov 1) $75 - Kinder Combo,   
$85 - Superstar Split,     $85 - Acrobatics

Performance fee: (due Feb 1) $85 per family
