Spezio’s Dance Dynamics Class Attire

In keeping with the traditions of classical ballet, proper attire for each class is expected.

Leotard & Tights must be worn to every class.


To allow you to dance without distraction, hair should be secured off the face in a BUN, hair pins and hair net as needed.

Shoes from a previous year may be used to begin the season, but you will need the correct shoe style/color listed before pictures.


Ensemble dancers: your shoe requirements will be emailed to you.


Tutu Cute Combo, Kinder Combo or Superstar Split Classes:


 

  • Girls: Short Sleeve or Tank Leotard in black or solid pastel color, skirts are optional. Footed or convertible tights in pink or white. Hair pulled back completely off the face in a bun, braid or ponytail.
  • Boys: White T-shirt and black shorts or pants

 


Tutu Cute Combo ages 2-3, 3-4 and 4-5 Shoes:

White Tap shoes and Pink Leather split sole Ballet Shoes


Kinder Combo age 5 Shoes:

Tan Mary Jane style Tap shoes and Pink Leather split sole Ballet Shoes


Superstar Split Shoes:

Tan Mary Jane style Tap shoes and Pink Leather split sole Ballet Shoes


Boys Combo/Split Shoes:

Black ballet shoes & Boys black tap shoes.


Split and Combo dancers should arrive to class in ballet shoes (unless otherwise noted by the instructor). Please send children into class with their tap shoes in a bag. Be sure all shoes and bag are labeled with your child’s name. We will change their shoes during the class.

Starz classes can wear Pink Leather split sole Ballet shoes if canvas does not come in your shoe size. (Bloch brand preferred)


 

  • Footed or convertible Ballet Pink tights
  • Hair must be in a tight, secure bun
  • Leotard in black, ballet pink or other dark solid color
  • Black fitted dance shorts acceptable
  • No loose shorts, tanks, shirts or pants
  • Pre-Ballet: same as above, but shoes can be full-sole

 


Jazz Class:

Tan Slip On split sole Jazz Bootie (Bloch or Bailey’s brand)


 

  • Convertible tights in tan, black or pink
  • Hair should be pulled back off the face securely in a bun
  • Leotard in black, ballet pink or other solid dark color
  • Fitted black dance shorts may be worn
  • No loose shorts, tanks, shirts or pants

 


Tap Class:

Black Full Sole Tie Up Tap Shoes 


 

  • Convertible tights in tan, black or pink
  • Hair should be pulled back off the face securely in a bun
  • Leotard in black, ballet pink or other solid dark color
  • Fitted black dance shorts may be worn
  • No loose shorts, tanks, shirts or pants

 


Lyrical:

Barefoot


 

  • Convertible tights in tan, black or pink

  • Fitted black dance shorts may be worn

Acro Classes:

Theater Dance:

  • Convertible tights in flesh tone, black or pink
  • Leotard in black, ballet pink or other solid dark color
  • Hair should be pulled back off the face securely in a bun
  • Fitted black dance shorts may be worn
  • No loose shorts, tanks, shirts or pants 

Hip Hop:

Black High Top Converse style Sneakers (must be a dedicated indoor shoe for the studio and stage)

          does NOT need to be brand name Converse sneakers, black canvas with white sole & laces
           


 

  • Leotard in black, ballet pink or other solid dark color
  • Fitted black dance shorts may be worn
  • Hair should be pulled back off the face securely in a ponytail or bun
  • Hip Hop only, baggy pants, shorts or other “funky” clothing can be worn over leotard
  • Please note these shoes are not available at dance supply stores. They can be purchased from Payless, Target, Kohls, etc. They do not need to be Converse brand, they just need to be the converse style, in a black canvas sneaker with white laces and sole. If you are unsure, please email the studio for assistance.

 



Heels: 


Ballroom shoes - exact shoe TBD, link will be posted


Please note : Bright colors, neon colors, any patterns or loose baggy clothing is not acceptable dance attire. Dancers may at no time dance in only socks or footed tights. All jewelry should be removed prior to class. Dance shoes should be worn in the studio only to protect the dance floors.


Proper attire and hair is expected, dancers deemed unprepared for class will not be permitted to participate but will observe the class.


Label all dance shoes, jackets and bags with your child’s name to avoid confusion in class and the coat room. Spezio’s Dance Dynamics is not responsible for lost stolen or misplaced items. Do not bring valuables to the studio.


All jackets, street shoes and boots should be placed in a cubby in the coat area. Please do not bring street shoes or coats into the studios.


Shoes purchased from a Dance Supply Store are required – Cardboard sole ballet shoes and satin slippers (seen on ballet shoes from stores such as Payless/Walmart) are not permitted.
